Last week, the students practiced working with the number 5! They learned what a five frame is and how to quickly look at a full five frame and recognize that number as five rather than having to count each object in the frame. Throughout the year we will continue working with this concept and practice "quick counts" using five frames and number cards, which represent numbers using quantities.
