poems as s/he practices writing digits 0 - 9, from top-to-bottom.

that's the way we make a three.

Down and over and down some more,
that's the way we make a four.

Fat old five goes down and around.
Put a hat on top.

Roll a hoop and make a loop: six, six.

Across the sky and down from heaven,
that's the way we make a seven.

Make an s, but do not wait,
Go back up and close the gate.

A circle and a line,
that's the way
